I am in a horrible mood today.

I’ve been informed that there is a critical meeting today and they are bringing the customer by my office later today to review the progress on a project. Ummmmm, where the fuck is the project manager? I’m just a consultant on one of the tools we are using. Why are your diverting this person through me?
So, it appears to me that I will be playing the role of a goat today. The scaping is scheduled for 3:30. Yippee!

I’d just like to state for the record: Blow me Mr. Director who I never met before and is now shuffling his out of control project across my desk for the sake of saving your own ass. I will tap dance my ass off for you and I know you will eventually, some day, toss me out only to rot in the gutter. I am a consultant. A corporate whore. I know why you pay me. So I will bend over this afternoon for you and take one for the team. My only comfort being is the knowledge that I did my very best work and that I was a team player.
That and the bags of money you toss at me every week.
There are days that I miss when I used to make donuts with my crazy uncle. The hours were late, but it was simple, straight forward work.
Oh, my uncle isn’t really crazy. I shouldn’t have said that. Just because he announced in Sunday Mass, that he was legalizing marijuana in the name of Jesus Christ, and then proceed to take his clothes off….that really doesn’t make you crazy does it?
He even has a notarized statement from the State saying he is “Legally Sane”. Something I think more people should have.
Anyhow, I need to polish my tap dancing shoes and make my office look presentable for this presentation. If it seems to be going bad, I think I will change the subject and cause a distraction to take the customer’s attention away from the glaring problems. I may take a few plays from my uncle’s book.
